During this half-day workshop, participants will learn about the importance and purpose of developmental screening for young children through hands-on use of the Ages and Stages Questionnaire-3 (ASQ-3). Early childhood educators and care providers will define and discuss the domains and features of this evidence-based developmental screening tool. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice administering, scoring, and interpreting results of the ASQ-3. Methods of sensitively communicating results and talking with families about community referrals will also be covered. Parking available in campus lots and on the street. Please plan to bring lunch or purchase from one of the local eateries. |
