This professional development session is an in-depth training on how to administer and interpret the results of the ASQ-3 screening tool and is intended for centers that have chosen the ASQ-3 as their developmental screening tool.
During this training session, participants will learn about the importance of early identification of at-risk children through the use of evidence-based developmental screening tools such as the Ages and Stages Questionnaires.
The Ages and Stages Questionnaire, Third Edition ASQ-3 is one of the developmental screening tools utilized throughout the early care and education community that informs best practice with at risk children and their families. Participants will practice administration, scoring, interpretation of results and methods of sensitively communicating results and talking to families about community referrals and follow up.
This training addresses Grow NJ Kids Standards 1.3.6, 2.4.4, and 4.3.6; and aligns with the NJ Core Knowledge and Competencies: Child Growth and Development and Child Assessment. |
